Professor Cheung is Dean, School of Business and Professor (Chair) of Finance at the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Professor Cheung also holds Advisory and Adjunct Professorships at Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University respectively.

Professor Cheung’s major research interests include Corporate Finance, Investment and Financial Market Development. He is also active in community service. He is Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Enhancing Self-Reliance through District Par tnership Programme (ESR) of the Home Affairs Department, Consultation Panel of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, as well as Supervisory Committee of the Asian Bond Fund (ABF) Hong Kong Bond Index Fund of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Professor Cheung also serves as a Member of the Operations Review Committee and Witness Protection Review Board of Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Commission on Strategic Development, Social Enterprise Advisory Committee, and Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC). He is also an Independent Non-executive Director of the RoadShow Holdings Ltd. He was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2009, and was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2007 by the HKSAR Government.
