Mr. Leong Tou-hong is appointed as the consultant of the Research Centre for Sustainable Development Strategies of the Government of Macao SAR, the member of the Economic Development Committee of the Government of Macao SAR, and the member of the Chief Executive Selection Committee of Macao SAR. In addition, he is the member of CPPCC Guangdong Province, the Chairman of the Macao Economic Develop¬ment Promotion Association, the Vice President of Macao Association of Economic Sciences, the consultant of the Planning Study on the Co-ordinated Development of the Greater Pearl River Delta Townships, and the member of the Guangdong’s Association for Promotion of Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macao.

Mr. Leong Tou-hong has engaged in social and economic research for many years. He leads and joins a number of research projects, including the strategies of Macao economic development, the coordinated development of the Greater Pearl River Delta, the development of tourism, the planning of large infra¬structures, human resources development, and the quality of life in Macao. His research interests also lie in logistics, health care financing, water resources protection and development.

Mr. Leong Tou-hong plays a very active role in serving the Macao community through memberships in several important consultation forums which are all in charge by the Chief Executive, providing advices and recommendations on economic and social affairs.
