About The Y.Elites Association
Established on May 16, 2007, the Y.Elites Association is a youth group comprising the alumni of the national studies classes of Natinoal School of Administration, China Pudong Cadres College and the Academy of Chinese Culture. Its objectives are “Focal Point of Young Elites, Promoter of National Studies, Advocate of Community Wellbeing and Think Tank for Current Affairs”. The Association has 300 members including young entrepreneurs, professionals from various industries and leaders from youth organizations. It has formed 12 research groups on areas of Banking, Real Estate, Commerce, Information Technology, Students, Sports & Culture, Community & Livelihood, Politics, Women Forum, Mainland Affairs, Ethnic Groups and Hong Kong-Taiwan Exchange.
Since its establishment, the Y.Elites Association has actively participated in organizing various activities, including welcoming of Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch and the gold medalists’ visit to Hong Kong, supporting fundraising for victims of Sichuan Earthquake, taking part in the Hong Kong Constitutional Development Forum for Youths and Students, and Symposium on Innovation in Finance and Science and Technology. The Association received compliments from the HKSAR Government and wide recognition from various sectors of the society. Most notably, the Association organized the “Y.Elites Forum: 30 Years of Reform & Opening-Up: The Role of Hong Kong, Opportunities & Responsibilities for Youths” at the HKCEC on 30th July 2008 which attracted significant attention in the society.
The Y.Elites Association strives to ignite Hong Kong young people’s passion and love for the motherland; to provide platforms for national education, youth exchange with mainland, and involvement in community affairs and to build a better Hong Kong.
