Mr Sio Chi Wai
Mr Sio Chi Wai, graduated as Bachelor of Economy at Keio University – Japan in 1985; then worked in Hitachi Limited - Japan in marketing section.
He came back to Macau in 1989 and participated in family business; and founded Siu’s Trading Company Limited, Be-1 (Holdings) Limited and Hitachi Sales (Macau) Limited. Moreover, he had developed business relationships with CESL Asia Investments and Services Limited, Dah Chong Hong Macau Total Supply Chain Management Company Limited and other business corporations of which the business covers with retails and wholesales, logistics, trading, brand products agency, environmental and infrastructure, and facility management.
Other than business, he also participates in Macau’s public affairs; the current public affairs include: Deputy of Legislative Assembly of the Macao Special Administrative Region; Member of the Tianjin Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Member of the Macao Deputies to the National People’s Congress Election Conference; Member of Chief Executive Election Committee of the Macao SAR; Group Coordinator of Politics Study and Evaluation, Public Administration Reform Advisory Committee; Representative of the Macau Employers’ Organization of Standing Committee for the Coordination of Social Affairs; Director of Macao Science Center Limited; Vice Chairman of Board of Directors of Macau Importers & Exporters Association; President of Board of Directors of Macao Development Strategy Research Centre; Director of the Macao Chamber of Commerce.
Furthermore, he continuously contributes his effort on the economic and cultural exchange affairs between Macau and Japan. In 1998, he was chosen as one of the “Macao Characters” in “Macao Hangover 1999” published by Zhongyang Wenxian Chubanshe. In 2003, he was awarded as “Medal of Merit – Industrial and Commercial” by the Government of Macao SAR. In 2006, he was awarded as “The Best Overseas CEO” by Hitachi Limited, Japan. In 2007, he was awarded as “The Most Outstanding Member” by the Tianjin Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, while in 2009, he was appointed as “Deputy of Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR” by the Macao Government. |
