Mr Chui Sai Peng has extensive professional experience in city planning, civil and structural engineering, including many years of practice in California, USA in design and analysis of conventional and state-of-the-art onshore and offshore structures. Mr Chui is well versed in steel and reinforced concrete designs and was involved in a number of patented or patent-pending structural schemes for offshore structures in the States.

After returning to Macao, Mr Chui established CAA City Planning & Engineering Consultants Ltd. He has dedicated much effort in urban planning, project management and structural design. He was responsible for many urban studies and projects in Macao, including the “21st Century Macao City Planning Guideline Study”, “Creative Industries District Conceptual Study”, which has won the third prize for China’s outstanding urban planning and design award held by the Construction Department of the Central Government in 2005. Currently, Mr Chui is a member of the expert panel on "Greater Pearl River Delta Urban Coordinated Development Planning Study" and a consultant of the Macao SAR’s special committee on regional planning.

Mr Chui has also involved in Macao’s cultural and creative industries development in recent years. He led a team of consultants to complete “The Feasibility Study on the Development of Macao’s Traditional and Unique Cultural Industries”, which was submitted to the Macao SAR Government in November 2006.

Mr Chui holds various positions, including the Deputy of the Macao SAR to the 11th National People’s Congress (NPC), Deputy of Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR, Member of Macao Historic Urban District Renewal Consultative Council of the Macao SAR, Convener of Sustainable Development Committee of Macao Historic Urban District Renewal Consultative Council, Member of the Cultural Council of the Macao SAR, President of Executive Council of Chinese Cultural Exchange Association and Chairman of Macao Urban Planning Institute.
