About the Y.Elites Association
The Y.lites Association established in2007, consists of 14 research groups and committees focusing on the areas of Industries & Commerce, Culture & Arts, Public Relations & Communication, Real Estate, Community & Social Affairs, Finance, Polities, Cross Strait Culture, Professional Services, Innovative Technologies, Woman Forum, Membership Affairs and Sports. Today, the Association has over 1,000 members including young entrepreneurs, professionals from various industries and leaders from various youth organizations.
The mission of The Y.Elites Association is “to gather young elites; promote national condition studies; to stay focused on social concerns, and become the think tank for contemporary social affairs”.
Since its establishment, The Y.Elites Association has organized large scale, high-end forums such as Y.Elites Forum, and Boao Youth Forum for Asia(Hong Kong) co-organized with Boao Forum for Asia which attained huge success. Our forum not only attracted global political and business leaders, and academia to participate, but also gained widespread attention from the society and became flagship activities of The Y.Elites Association.
Furthermore, our Association is actively devoted itself to many community affairs and youth activities. We have organized various seminars and activities related to finance, poverty alleviation, youth property purchasing, retirement protection, construction of third airport runway and innovative technology, etc., inviting related government officials, renowned experts and scholars to share their views on these topics. The seminars and activities have also offered unprecedented opportunities for our members to exchange opinions. In addition, we have also hosted and supported nurmerous important youth activities, engaging massive local youngsters.
We have actively made practical policy suggestions to the HKSAR Government and developed ourselves as a youth think tank. Over the years, our Association has made recommendations on government policies as well as contributing commentary articles in local media including Hong Kong Economic Journal, Metro Daily, Mirror Post, Sing Tao Daily,Hong Kong Commercial Daily, Takungpao and Wenweipo on current issues such as environmental protection, youth, property, family policies, education and industry development. Our views have received positive responsees from the government as well as society.
