Richard-Weidong Ji is a managing director at Morgan Stanley covering the Greater China media/Internet sector. He was highly ranked by the Institutional Investor and Greenwich polls and was awarded 'The Best Investment Bank Analyst for New Economy' by iResearch. He was rated as ‘the No. 1 stock picker in Software and services’ in pan-Asia and Greater China region by Financial Times and South China Morning Post. He has been involved in the IPOs of many companies, including Alibaba, Tencent, Perfect World, Dangdang, AirMedia, Shanda, Xueersi (TAL Group), RenRen and Phoenix New Media. His views have been widely quoted by renowned media, such as Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Caijing Magazine and Phoenix TV. Richard previously worked at Goldman Sachs and holds an MBA from Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania), where he was on the Director's List and held the Meyer Scholarship for academic excellence. He received his Doctor of Sciences degree (PhD equivalent) from Harvard University with multiple publications in leading scientific journals and received his Bachelor of Sciences degree from Fudan University. He was also an elected member of the All-China Youth Federation.
