Mark is Vice Chairman of Asia Ex-Japan, Goldman Sachs Asia. Prior to assuming this role in 2011, he was co-head of the Investment Banking Division in Asia Ex-Japan. He is a member of the IBD Asia Executive Committee. Mark joined Goldman Sachs in 1991 as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division in London and moved to Asia in 1994. He has served as head of Equity Capital Markets from 2001, of the Financing Group from 2003 and of the Investment Banking Division from 2005. Mark was named managing director in 2000 and par tner in 2002.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Downing College, Cambridge University, in 1990 and a BA from Oriel College, Oxford University, in 1987.
