Dr. Bindu N. Lohani is the Vice-President (Finance and Administration) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is a member of the Bank’s Management Team. Dr. Lohani is responsible for the functional areas of treasury, controllership, information technology, budget and human resources, administrative services, and the Offices of the Secretary and General Counsel. He is Chair of the ADB’s Asset and Liability Management Committee and the Investment Committee of the Staff Retirement Plan.

In his 25 years in ADB, he has worked in various capacities, including Secretary of the Bank, Director General of Regional and Sustainable Development Department, Chief Compliance Officer and Special Advisor to the President. Dr. Lohani holds a Doctorate degree in Engineering. Dr. Lohani is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering of United States, and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science Council.
