Wang Yuehong is currently a Research Assistant at the RCEP Research Institute, the China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD). From 2019 to 2022, he pursued a BSc in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), specializing in Macroeconomics, International Political Economy, and Economic History. He continued at the LSE for a MSc in Theory and History of International Relations from 2022 to 2023, with a focus on Cold War History and European Integration, under the supervision of the Soviet history expert, Professor Vladislav M. Zubok. Wang has authored publications including "The Belt and Road Initiative and the Economic Development of Western China."
At the RCEP Research Institute, CIRD, Wang conducts research on RCEP and related policy issues. His contributions include co-authoring research reports such as Unleashing RCEP's Dividends by Focusing on Raising the Utilization Rate of its Rules - Preliminary Assessment Report on 2022-2023 RCEP Implementation. He has also written articles on RCEP-related topics like Reflections on the RCEP Utilization Rate, and reports based on CIRD’s oversea field trips to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including Thoughts after the Trip to Southeast Asia and There is Nothing Impossible. His current research interests encompass RCEP, Asian economic integration, international political economy, international trade theory, and action-oriented policy studies.
