Mr Roger Chen is the Managing Director - China of CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) responsible for managing CLP’s China business investments and power generation projects in 15 provinces, municipalities and administrative regions using a range of energy technologies including nuclear, wind, solar, hydro and coal-fired power.  

Mr Chen joined CLP through CLP Executive Programme in 2002. He has held various managerial positions across CLP and CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, where his responsibilities covered corporate strategy and development, business planning, asset management, and fuel procurement. Mr Chen was the Senior Director responsible for CLP’s nuclear business before taking up his current role. He was seconded to Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company, a joint venture between CLP and China General Nuclear Group (CGN), as the Deputy General Manager in 2017.

Mr Chen holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
