Mr. Hailong Shang (Jesse Shang), is the Managing Director of SenseTime Hong Kong. He oversees the company’s strategic and global business development. 

His effort in education industry is particularly importance. In April 2018, Mr. Shang led the company to publish “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence”, the first high-school textbook on artificial intelligence in the world, which was well received by education sectors from local and overseas alike.  

Before joining SenseTime, Mr. Shang has gained more than 10 years of extensive experience in ICT industry. He was the Senior Vice-President in charge of international B2B businesses at China Unicom Global and the Director of Government and Enterprise Relations Department at China Mobile International.

With his professional knowledge and network, Mr. Shang has assisted Chinese conglomerates such as Alibaba, Tencent, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Huawei in their global expansion efforts. His extensive experience in international project management and overseas business development, alongside his excellent relationships with institutional parties have allowed his teams to achieve and maintain robust business growth. He has been awarded numerous accolades such as China Mobile’s and China Unicom’s “Outstanding Business Development Team”. 

Apart from his business endeavors, Mr. Shang also holds several social capacities such as Executive Director of HKAI Lab, Vice Director General of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Alliance and Vice Director General of the Shanghai AI Alliance.
