Liping Zhang is Senior Managing Director and Chairman, Greater China of Blackstone Group. He has over 30 years of financial industry, corporate management and government sector experience.

Mr. Zhang graduated from Beijing University's school of International Business & Economics and received a master’s degree in International Affairs and International Law from St. John’s University in New York.  He also attended NYU Stern's MBA program. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee, Guangxi Autonomous Region, an executive member of the Board of Trustees of Beijing University of International Business and Economics, an executive member of the Yabuli, China Entrepreneurs Forum, Senior Advisor to the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, a member of the Belt and Road Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Vice Chairman of CCG Hong Kong Council, Board member of the Save The Children (Hong Kong) and Founding Chairman of the Guangxi Educational Foundation for the Poor.
