Ni Pengfei, Director of Center for City and Competitiveness, CASS; Assistant to the Director of National Academy of Economic Strategy , CASS; Director of Urban and Real Estate Economy Research Unit of National Academy of Economic Strategy , CASS. PhD in economics，research fellow and doctoral supervisor. Leader of the CASS-UN-Habitat joint research group, Chief Urban Economist.

He was hired as “Reform and Development of SMEs” project assessment expert by United Nations Development Programme.

He is Adjunct Professor in Institute of Public Administration, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing Normal University Institute of Resources and Economic Management, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also act as Vice secretary in Chinese Society for Urban Studies, Chinese Urban Development Academy and China Society of Urban Economy.

Ni Pengfei has been an economy consultant of city government of Chengdu, Xian and Dongguan, etc. His magnum opus < Chinese Urban Competitiveness Report> got Sun Yefang Economy Prize in 2005.

He has published more than 10 academy books and published dozens of papers at urban study Journal of International Affairs Social Sciences and Economic Research Journal in China at home and abroad.
