Naiyan Wang, is currently the principal scientist of Beijing TuSimple Future Technology Co., Ltd. He leads the algorithm research group in Beijing. Prior to that, he graduated from Zhejiang University in 2011, and got PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015. He won the 2014 Google PhD Fellow program (38 worldwide), and among the top teams in several international data mining and computer vision competitions. He is the first one to apply deep learning algorithm to visual tracking, and is also the core developer of famous deep learning framework MXNet. His main research direction for computer vision and machine learning, especially in the statistical calculation model applied to both the practical problems.
