Boao Forum For Asia (BFA) is a non-government, non-profit international organization.Initiated in 1998 by Fidel V. Ramos, former President of the Philippines, Bob Hawke,former Prime Minister of Australia, and Morihiro Hosokawa, former Prime Minister ofJapan, Boao Forum for Asia was launched by 28 Initial Countries in the Asia Pacific andinaugurated on February 27, 2001.BFA is committed to promoting Asian economic integration and bringing Asian countrieseven closer to their development goals. As the premier forum for Asia and emergingmarkets, BFA provides a key platform for global leaders in government, business,media and academia to explore the most pressing issues in this dynamic region andthe world at large.BFA convenes Annual Conference every spring in Boao, Hainan, China, which bringstogether over 2000 dignitaries from governments and different industries around theworld. It is approved by the BOD in 2014, that BFA Annual Conference should be heldon the last weekend of March every year with four days duration.BFA also holds many other seminars and workshops on most concerned topics in differentcountries and regions all over the world.
